Pomborneit won the toss and elected to bat first in the match played on an excellent turf wicket at the Warrion Recreation Reserve.

The Bulls posted 8/232, led by 90 to Tharaka Sendanayake.

Fast bowler Matthew Price led the way for the Storm with 5/36 from 10 overs, including two wickets in two balls late in the innings.

Paul Vogels was economical with 1/22 from 10, with Chris Vogels taking 2/48.

Hamish Huffadine and captain Matthew Love put on 66 for the first wicket before Love was caught and bowled for 32 from 57 balls.

A mix up saw Simon Harkness run out for 10, with Huffadine out soon after for 44 from 84 balls.

Travis Brown and Ash Hunt worked hard to put on 72 for the fourth wicket as the Pomborneit bowling remained tight.

Brown made 31 from 66 balls, with Hunt (44 runs from 49 balls) the sixth wicket to fall with the score on 180.

The Storm ended on 9/210 from its 50 overs, finishing the season in seventh place.

The Storm’s division three are through to the grand final after defeating Cobden in a rain affected semi-final at Ecklin.
