The shopping event will be held across Thursday, July 25 to Saturday, July 27 and feature at least 14 Cobden businesses.

Event spokesperson, and Cobden Sewing Machines owner Helen Smith said she is looking forward to the event.

She said the event is the first for the newly formed Cobden Retailers group, which is under the umbrella of the Cobden Business Network.

Mrs Smith said 14 businesses have put their hand up to be involved and each will offer a variety of specials across the three days.

She said each of the businesses were also offering up a prize for shoppers to win, with a $15 minimum spend to enter.

Shoppers can enter once per day per store.

Mrs Smith encouraged the community to take part in the Winter Warmers event, with a number of sales on offer across the participating stores.

She said as part of the event the Cobden Visitor Information Centre is holding a talk by Alan Hart about the local Whiskey trail which will be held at Nell’s on Thursday, July 25 between 2pm to 3pm.

“The Cobden Pharmacy is conducting blood pressure checks and will have 40 per cent off selected stock,” Mrs Smith said.

“Nell’s is also running a special and Cobden Sewing Machines will have a quilt display, specials on fabrics and more, along with a Sit and Sew on Friday.”

The lucky shopper prizes will be drawn on Saturday, July 27.
