THE South West Conveyancing Camperdown Show was bustling with activity as fine weather drew a steady crowd through the gates on Saturday.
Families made a complete day of the show, taking in the animal exhibits, live entertainment and fun rides on offer.
Camperdown Pastoral and Agricultural Society president Ashlea Church said the committee was pleased with the success of the show – which was its 150th running.
“The turn-out was great and the weather was kind to us,” she said.
“All feedback has been positive which is nice.
“Thank you to the hardworking committee and to our sponsors.”
Mrs Church said the official show opening included Geoffrey Risby, Amanda Manifold and Sheridan Heath.
She said popular inclusions in the show’s line-up included the dachshund dash and dog jump.
“There were large horse numbers on the Sunday, with the new format working well,” Mrs Church said.
“Sections were well supported in the sheep, cattle and poultry.
“The new homecraft section was well supported as well.”
She said the committee was looking forward to 2023 now.
“The committee will regroup and decide where we go from here and put some options on the table for next year,” Mrs Church said.
