Moving his way through the field, Pitcher was able to claim back-to-back wins (a feat that hasn’t been seen in over 20 years), with Wantirna’s Paul Verhoeven claiming second ahead of Colac’s Neville Gange.

After six heats were ran, it was high-point scorer Dane Court who claimed pole for the final, with Bailey Pitcher on his outside.

Court made the best of the starts and set a blistering pace however, with 10 laps remaining, front end damage from contact with another car saw him eliminated from the race.

The restart saw Stan Marco Jnr (final heat winner) lead away from the pack.

Running the highline, Jacob Pitcher began applying heavy pressure on the race leader, taking over the lead with seven laps remaining.

The race came to a caution the following lap when Marco made heavy contact with the turn two wall.

Pitcher charged to the lead from the restart, leaving others in his wake.

The battle for the minors was fierce with Verhoeven, Gange, Deglaitis and Jamie May all locked in a tight tussle.

Jacob Pitcher continued on to greet the chequered flag to claim his second Victorian Super Rod Title.

Verhoeven held firm for second while Gange finished third.

An excited Pitcher thanked his family, sponsors and crew for all of their Support.

The Super Rods will be back in action over the Easter weekend where they will contest the Max Dumesny Motorsport’s Super Rod Easter Trail with drivers taking to Geelong’s Avalon Raceway on Good Friday, Mt Gambier’s Borderline Speedway on Easter Saturday and Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway Easter Sunday.
