Small field braves the wet weather

A SMALL field of just six players braved the winter conditions at Terang Golf Club last Saturday.


The stableford event was won by Colin Venn (23) 31 from runner-up Lachlan Venn (29) 30.

Down the line went to Jason Karney (21) 27.

Nearest the pin on the sixth was Lachlan Venn.

Sunday’s stableford was won by George Beasley (scratch) 36 from Fred Beasley (+3) 30.

This weekend will be stableford both days.

Last Thursday was the women’s stableford and fourth round of the silverspoon.

The third Marie Scally winner was Jo Arundell with 34 points, followed by runner-up Wendy O’Connor on 30.

Michelle Bourke received a ball down the line on 29 points.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Wendy O’Connor, 9th from off the green Marion Venn and 11th Marion Venn.

The 18 hole all-day stableford winner was Chris Coolahan on 34 points, with Mick Hammond the runner-up on 32.

Balls down the line went to David Stewart 31 and Terry Beasley 30.

Nearest the pin on the 11th was Mick Hammond.

This Thursday will be an all day 18 and nine hole stableford, 9.30-10.30 women’s competition.
