Smashers take volleyball premiership
SMASHERS have celebrated a three-set straight win over Gliders to take out the 2025 Mortlake Volleyball pennant.

Smashers were the benchmark of the competition and lost only one match for the pennant.
Gliders predominantly sat in fourth place for the season and won their semi-final in four sets to earn their spot in the grand final.
Smashers played a dominant match and deserved their win.
Best and fairest players Nelson Loader and Olivia Campbell.
Best players for the game were Nelson Byron, Olivia Campbell, Daniel Fowler and Judi Robertson.
The best and fairest awards were won by Nelson Loader, with Will Tanner the runner-up, followed by Jordan Loader in third.
In the women’s award, Oliva Campbell was named best and fairest, with Noni Harris Wallace the runner-up, with Wynter Bradbury third.
