Smoke affects golf

GOLF was confined to the top course at Camperdown on Wednesday, thanks to the smoke from bonfires on the lakeside course.

Following a countback, Jenn Downie (43) claimed the win with 32 points and Ruth Skene (28) was runner-up with 32 points - and also won the nine hole competition.

Nearest the pins: 2nd and first round 9th Tracey Baker, second round 9th Deb Narik.

Balls down the line went to Tracey Baker, Chris Farmer and Jen Burrows.

The May monthly medal stroke round can be contested this Saturday or next Wednesday, when the whole course will be available for play.
