HAMPDEN Specialist School student Mikey Piscopo showed off his eye for photography when Western District Newspapers visited the school last week.

Mikey, 7, took a keen interest in our camera so we let him take it for a spin to see what he could do.

When you hand a seven year-old a rather expensive camera, you expect there is a chance an accident might happen. We will take that risk. What you do not expect is he is going to be better at your job thanyou are.

Students lined up to have their pictures taken and Mikey showed an impressive aptitude for photography beyond his years.

Hampden Specialist School principal Kylie Carter said Mikey loves taking photos and is an admirer of technology.

Keep snapping, Mikey.
