SPORTS clubs across the district are encouraged to take advantage of a free club development workshop to be held later this month.
SPORTS clubs across the district are encouraged to take advantage of a free club development workshop to be held later this month.
South West Sport will host the workshop, focusing on the recruitment and mentorship of young volunteers in sports clubs and supporting the sustainability of a club’s future through the implementation of simple succession planning strategies and ideas.
Mentoring and supporting young volunteers to learn and take on important roles is critical to ensuring the future prosperity of a sporting club or organisation.
This workshop will suit both new and well-established clubs in planning for the future.
Attendees are encouraged to register in advance, however, walk-ins will be welcome on the night.
The workshop will be held at Warrnambool’s Reid Oval pavilion from 6pm-7pm on Monday November 21.
