South West wins Festival of Cricket

SOUTH West Cricket’s over 40s side has taken out the KFC Festival of Cricket title.

The team celebrated after winning back-to-back games in hot conditions last weekend.

South West 5/199 defeated Warrnambool 4/178.

In their second match, the team finished on 3/112, defeating Hamilton 111.

Some great batting from Ash Price, Trav Brown and David Murphy helped lead the side to victory while the pick of the bowlers included Roger Horspole, Shane Wilson and Matthew Harkin.
