Special visit for St Pats Foundation
ST Patrick’s Primary School was filled with warmth and joy as Foundation students welcomed their grandparents and special guests for a heartfelt morning of celebration last Friday.
Acting principal Tarryn Delaney said the day began with a Mass at the St Patrick’s Church, where students led the entrance procession, took part in the liturgy and readings, and presented the offertory to Father George Kuruvila.
“The Mass honoured Saints Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus, and served as a touching tribute to the important role grandparents play in our lives, both those present and those remembered in prayer,” she said.
“The readings reminded us of the faith, love and wisdom passed down through generations – values that continue to shape and strengthen our school community.
“Following the Mass, families returned to school for a delightful morning tea, with the library and classrooms buzzing with laughter and conversation.
“It was a joy to witness so many families coming together, with some grandparents making long journeys from places such as Melbourne and Horsham, and even postponing holidays to attend the special event.
“The Foundation students were thrilled to share this memorable morning with their loved ones.”
Ms Delaney extended her gratitude to all the families who participated and supported the Grandparents Day.
