Stableford at Cobden
TWENTY-four players competed in a privilege pot (stableford) at the Cobden Golf Club last Saturday.
The winner of A grade was C. Sargeant on 37 points, followed by D. Stewart on 36.
B grade was won by A. Stevens 36 from W. Gibson 33.
Balls down the line went to C. Horan, D. Horan, A. Tune, D. Absalom and C. Dobson.
Nearest the pins: 4th D. Stewart, 7th C. Horan, 10th D. Horan, closest second on the 2nd A. Tune, closest second on the 14th C. Dobson.
Privilege pot was won by C. Sargeant.
This Saturday, May 16, will be the Frank Northeast winter cup (par).
Despite threatening rain, 11 players bravely contested the May monthly medal last Wednesday, May 6.
This was the final round of the Barrett Shield and the silver spoon competitions.
The shield was drawn this year, with Janine Stevens and Julie Simmonds tied on 219 points.
The monthly medal winner on a countback was Sandra Mason 97-20-77 points, followed by Sherine Healey - 77.
Dual putting winners were Di McKenzie and Sandra Mason with 32 putts.
Nearest the pins: 4th Di McKenzie (A grade), 10th Carmel Darcy (B grade), 7th Deb Ferrari and second shot on the 8th Deb Ferrari.
Winner of the silver spoon was Sherine Healey - 77.
