Stableford at Terang
THIRTY-FOUR players contested a stableford round at the Terang golf course last weekend.
The A grade winner last Saturday was Nigel Bruckner (6) 36 points from runner-up Phil Beasley (+1) 35.
B grade was won by Toni Harrison (33) 39 points on countback from Alex Kenna (32) 39.
Balls down the line went to Mitch Wyss (45) 38, Terry Coolahan (20) 37, Ethan Wyss (28) 35 and Nick Kenna (10) 35 on countback.
Nearest the pins: 3rd Sharee Scanlon, 6th Billy Wood, 8th Sharee Scanlon and 11th Phil Beasley.
Friday’s twilight was a nine-hole stableford which attracted four players.
The winner was Ethan Wyss (30) 23 points from runner-up Ryley Hutchins (22) 19 points.
Next Friday will be a nine-hole stableford while stableford will be played on Saturday.
Twenty-two players competed in this week’s competition – 16 in an 18-hole event and six in a nine-hole event.
The ladies’ winner was Sybil Ubergang with 38 points on a countback from Elaine Hrabar.
Ladies’ nearest the pins: 6th Jane Heffernan, 11th Karen Mather and 18th from off the green, Lynette Coxon.
The men’s winner was Jason Karney on 35 points, on countback from Garry Marr.
Balls down the line: Karen Mather 36, Judy Carmody 34, Terry Beasley 34 on countback from Jane Heffernan.
Men’s nearest the pins: 3rd Terry Coolahan.
The winner of round one of the silverspoon was Sybil Ubergang.
The winner of the nine-hole event was Linda Kenna on 19 points, on countback from Dianne Glennen.
The Doris Chambers was to be played next week but has now been shifted to Thursday, April 17.
