Stableford at Terang
TWENTY-eight players enjoyed a stableford round at the Terang Golf Club last Saturday.
The winner was Craig Breust (19) on 39 points, followed by Linda Kenna (32) 38.
Balls down the line went to Steven Clifford (12) 38, Geoff Campbell (30) 36, Daryl Johnstone (22) 36 and Stephen Arundell (8) 35 on countback.
Nearest the pins: 6th Scott Coverdale, 8th Steven Clifford and 11th Stephen Arundell.
Last Sunday’s stableford 18-hole was won by Harvey Roberts (12) 36 from runner-up Henry Roberts (38) 35.
This Saturday will be stableford while on Sunday players will compete in stableford nine or 18 holes from 10.30am.
Fourteen players competed in another round of the Silverspoon and the Marie Scally last Thursday.
Karen Mather was the winner with 34 points on countback from Jenny Meade, also on 34.
Balls down the line went to Michelle Bourke 33, Aileen Clarke 32 and Janet Saunders 32.
Nearest the pins: 3rd Marion Venn, 6th Jane Heffernan, 11th Judy Carmody and 18th from off the green Marion Venn.
Karen Mather and Jenny Meade will now go into the final of the Silverspoon, along with the other round winners, to be played later in the year.
The all-day 18 hole stableford competition attracted 15 players and was won by Martin Wynd with 37 points.
The runner-up was Michael Sargeant on 35.
Balls down the line went to Terry Coolahan 34, Sam Melican 34 and Josh Brown 34.
Nearest the pins: 6th Michael Sargeant and 8th Stephen Grinter.
