Stableford at Terang

THIRTY-ONE players contested a stableford at Terang Golf Club last Saturday.


A grade was won by Nigel Bruckner (5) 39 points from runner-up Steven Clifford (13) 38.

Jeremy Attrill (15) 39 won B grade from Michelle Bourke (48) 38.

Balls down the line: Gary Marr (18) 37, Geoff Campbell (28) 36, Dan Morrison (18) 36 and Phil Beasley (1) 35.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Michelle Bourke, 6th Michael O’Connor and 11th Dan Morrison.

Last Sunday’s 18-hole stableford was won by Michael Sargeant (11) 33 from Martin Wynd (13) 30.

This weekend will be stableford on both days.

Thirty-six players took to the greens for an all-day stableford competition last Thursday.

With the course in excellent condition, George Beasley recorded an eagle on the fourth and Jessica Beasley recorded an excellent score of 44 points to win the competition.

Winner of the women’s 9.30am-10.30am event was Margie Driscoll with 37 points, followed by Tim Keane 33 on countback from Michelle Bourke.

Balls down the line went to Michelle Bourke 33 points, Jenny Meade 32 and Wendy O’Connor 31.

The all-day stableford 18 hole winner was Jessica Beasley on 44 points followed by Liam Venn on 41.

Balls down the line went to Jeremy Attrill 38, Terry Beasley 35 and Fred Beasley 33 on countback from Sam Melican.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Colin Venn, 6th Liam Venn, 8th Anthony Mills and 11th Terry Beasley.

The all-day nine hole winner was Michael O’Connor with 15 points.

Last week saw the start of the women’s division one pennant.

The Terang team of Michelle Beasley, Cate Glennon, Sharee Scanlon, Marion Venn and Jo Arundell defeated Timboon 4-1.

This week Terang’s Sharee Scanlon, Cate Glennon, Marion Venn, Margie Driscoll and Jo Arundell defeated Peterborough 5-0.

All players are welcome to play in the all-day Thursday competitions.
