Stableford at Terang
THIRTY-one players contested a stableford at Terang Golf Club last Saturday.
A grade was won by Tyler Beasley (5) 37 points from Anthony Mills (11) 36.
B grade went to Bernie Kenna (21) 37 on countback from runner-up Will Kenna (24) 37.
Balls down the line went to Chris Coolahan (19) 36, Toni Harrison (36) 36, Andrew Jemmeson (15) 36 and Michael Sargeant (11) 36.
Nearest the pins: 3rd Martin Wynd, 6th Tyler Beasley, 8th Andrew Jemmeson and 11th Peter McSween.
Sunday’s 18-hole stableford was won by Pat Bourke (36) 35 on countback, with Michelle Bourke (38) 35 the runner-up.
This Saturday will be stroke (monthly medal for May) and putting while on Sunday a stableford competition will be held.
Last Thursday morning saw the stroke, silverspoon and Marie Scally won by Janet Saunders on 96-27-69.
The runner-up was Jane Heffernan 101-30-71.
Balls down the line went to Karen Mather with nett 72 on a countback from Jo Arundell.
Nearest the pins: 3rd Cate Glennon, 6th Heather Holmes and 18th from off the green was Lynette Coxon.
The 18-hole all day stableford winner was Caleb Perry on 38 points followed by Paddy O’Connor on 36.
Balls down the line went to Colin Venn on 35.
Nearest the pins: 3rd and 8th Chris Coolahan and 11th Colin Venn.
The nine-hole all day stableford was won by Craig Flemming on 19 points followed by Lynette Coxon on 18.
The ladies’ division one pennant team, comprising Michelle Beasley, Sharee Scanlon, Cate Glennon, Marion Venn and Margie Driscoll, defeated Port Fairy 3-2.
This Thursday will be 9.30-10.30, 18 hole and nine hole all day stableford.
