Stableford results from Cobden
FORTY-four players contested a green day stableford competition at the Cobden golf course last Saturday.
In the ladies competition, V. Stevens 42 points took out the event from runner-up D. Ferrari on 37.
Third place went to M. Smith on 36 while D. Adams finished fourth on 35.
In the men’s event, D. Beard won on 40 points from D. Bath on 39, D. Stewart on 39 and M. Drayton on 38.
Balls down the line went to K. Duffin, D. Asalom, C. Sargeant, B. Smith, W.Gibson, P. Kaiser and S. Dawson.
Thirteen ladies averaged 31.7 and 31 men averaged 30.9.
Nearest the pin went to D. Ferrari and D. Stewart on the fourth, S. Mason and M. Buckle on the seventh and S. Dawson was nearest on the 10th.
Closest second on the second went to A. Giles while on the 14th it went to D. Bath.
This Saturday will be stableford.
