Stay safe over Easter break

POLICE are encouraging drivers to take care during the Easter long weekend as families prepare to travel for the start of school holidays while others take trips for the holidays.


With Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6 being public holidays, traffic will increase as people prepare for a well-earned break.

Camperdown Police Acting Senior Sergeant Andrew Raven encouraged drivers to plan ahead for their journeys to ensure everyone had a safe and happy Easter.

“I urge everyone to drive to the conditions and to the speed limits,” he said.

“Don’t drive while fatigued or drug and alcohol-affected.

“Make sure you have regular breaks

“There are usually rest areas in places such as Colac.”
