Stella wins again
TALENTED rider Stella Horspole has added to her growing list of accomplishments in the saddle, bringing home another state championship title.
Stella claimed the win in last weekend’s Barastoc Horse of the Year event.
This latest victory also earned her a ticket to the nationals in December where she will enter as Victoria’s number one representative.
“I was honoured to have been asked to ride Brambororagh Juene (Jimmy) which is a beautiful pony,” Stella said.
“Jimmy was a past winner at the nationals so I certainly felt some pressure and I really wanted to ride him well for his owners – now I’m looking forward to the nationals at the end of the year.”
Also over the weekend, Stella competed in the interschool ring riding on behalf of Camperdown College.
She won all her classes and then went on to be named overall champion with the highest points.
This result also qualified her for the interschool state championships in April.
