Strong effort at cross country
STUDENTS at Camperdown College’s junior campus were applauded for their efforts at the recent Regional Cross-Country competition in Warrnambool.
Well run: George Wilkinson will represent Camperdown College at the State Cross Country in July after a strong performance this week in Warrnambool.
Tuesday, May 26 saw five students represent the college against some of the strongest runners from across the region.
Knox Fleming finished 38th in the 12-year-old boys’ category, with fellow student Blair Evans finishing 22nd in the same category.
Manwhile, Jack Hillman finished 21st in the 11-year-old boys’ category.

Georgie Harrison ran well for the girls, finishing 16th in the 10-year-old girls’ category.
Prep-Year Six sport coordinator Matt Harkin said the school was particularly proud of George Wilkinson, who finished third in the 10-year-old boys’ category.
“A special congratulations to George on his podium finish and qualification through to State Cross Country in July,” he said.
