Strong finish from Lismore
LISMORE finished its season with an eight wicket win over top four team Linton in the final round of the Grenville Cricket Association competition.
Linton batted first at the Linton Recreation Reserve and were all out for 154 in 39.4 overs.
Opening bowler Jonte Jarred led the way for Lismore with 5/17 from eight overs, taking five of the first six wickets to fall.
Lismore comfortably passed the score in the 27th over for the loss of two wickets, led by 97 from 60 balls to Lachie Constable.
Constable hit 12 fours and five sixes in his innings.
Lismore finished the season in fifth place, one win shy of fourth placed Linton.
In the under 16 semi-final, Lismore had a 32 run loss to Linton at Linton.
The home team made 6/106 batting first, with Jack Fay taking 4/21 from five overs.
In reply, Lismore was all out for 74, Breanna Daffy top scoring with 23 from 50 balls and Luke Bond 22 from 13.
The season is also over for the Lismore under 12s after a 58 run semi-final loss to Derrinallum at Derrinallum.
Liam Barr took two wickets in Derrinallum’s score of 158.
Lismore replied with 100, with Barr top scoring with 14 from 14 balls.
