Strong performance from Corangamite
LAST Friday night saw Corangamite hockey’s under 18s take on Technique.
While the team didn’t bring home the win, they saved their best until last – playing their best hockey of the season in the last quarter.
The effort, teamwork and determination on display showed just how far this side has come.
Congratulations to Lachie on scoring his first goal and to Ava Cunningham who took out the ‘You Rock’ award.
The under 15s braved a chilly but dry Saturday for a hard-fought match against the Strikers.
The Strikers managed to score a winning goal in the final minute to take the win, 6-5.
Despite the result, the Strikers never stopped trying and worked hard for each other from start to finish.
It was great to see the growth and development of each player throughout the season and well done to ‘You Rock’ award winner, Maisie Cunningham.
The under 12 Craters took on Strikers in what was a nail-biting match last Saturday.
The team dug deep and came away with a 6-5 win in a tough, hard-fought match.
Every time the Craters scored, the opposition answered with a goal of their own.
Player of the match was Mateo Boyd.
The under 12 Lakers took on the Panthers last Saturday and although the result didn’t go their way, the side showed great determination and never gave up.
Kaitlyn van Bemmel was named player of the match.
