Strong round from Heffernan
JANE Heffernan finished on 101-30-71 to win last Thursday’s monthly medal at the Terang Golf Club.
Heffernan won on countback from Jo Arundell, who finished the day on 93-22-71.
Balls down the line went to Heather Holmes with nett 75.
Nearest the pins on the 3rd, 6th and 9th from off the green was Jane Heffernan.
The putting winners were Janet Saunders and Heather Holmes with 26 putts.
Seventeen players competed in the all-day 18 hole stableford competition.
The winner was Fred Beasley with an excellent score of 40 points from runner-up Terry Beasley on 38.
Balls down the line: Caleb Perry 37, Bernie Kenna 33 and Billy Wood 31 on countback from Terry Coolahan 31.
Nearest the pins: 6th Fred Beasley and 9th Stephen Arundell.
The all day nine hole stableford saw five players competing.
The winner was Gerard Meade on 25 points.
Next week will be all day stableford 18 holes and all day stableford nine holes (9am for 9.30am start).

Six brave souls took on the wet conditions last Saturday for the June stroke monthly medal and putting.
The monthly medal winner was Harvey Roberts (13) 70/83 from runner-up Peter Hrabar (20) 77/97.
Ryley Hutchins had a ball down the line with 81/98.
Nearest the pins: 6th Harvey Roberts.
Putting went to Daryl Johnstone, Billy Wood and Peter Hrabar on 30 putts.
Saturday will be stableford all day and on Sunday, nine or 18-hole stableford from 10.30am.
