Strong show at championships
MEMBERS of Funakoshi Karate International Australia made their presence felt at the National All Styles State Championships last Sunday, October 15.

Results for the club were as follows:
Jill Cole Sensei finished first in women’s veteran’s continuous sparring, male and female veteran’s Kata and women’s veteran’s points sparring, and second in the Open Age woman’s black belt points sparring.
She also finished third in the woman’s open age black belt Kata and the women’s open age black belt continuous sparring.
Tracey Scott placed third in the women’s advanced Kata.
Chelsea Wright finished third in the 5th Kyu – Black Belt points sparring and first in the 5th Kyu – Black Belt continuous sparring.
Jill Cole, Tobi Cole and Tracey Scott finished fourth in the team Kata event.
