Strong southerly challenged riders
IT was another tough night on the bikes for Camperdown Cycling Club members last Thursday.

A strong southerly wind provided a challenge for junior riders. Unfortunately, the clock and the wind were against them with no personal bests set.
Junior winner this week was Ava, who had a wonderful year of consolidating a new fitness level and was willing to listen to advice from senior riders.
Ava was a very strong leader this week riding with her dad Brian, and was able to finished strong over the line for a very convincing win, with a time of 11.41.
Rieley crossed the line in second postion recording a time of 12.30, third fastest was Josh with 09.27.
Other riders were Oliver 09.28, Finn 09.51, Lawson 13.02, Zane 10.20, Quinn 10.54 and Izzy with 14.55.
Seniors report:
Another action-packed evening at the Camperdown Cycling Club with Matt Clark claiming first place in an epic sprint finish against rivals Josh Thompson and Matt Gstrein, who came second and third respectively.
The massive Zane Vogels was the first to go in a surprise attack, and ended up on Matt G’s heels in fourth place. Tania McKenzie rounded out the top five.
Other participants were Finn Baxter, Sean Thompson, and Todd Baxter, who was awarded the prestigious wooden spoon.
Thanks to the handicapping all the riders finished close together, with the scratch bunch just off the back.
