Strong start to new term
CORANGAMITE Hockey’s under 15 side kicked off the new school term in style last weekend.

The team celebrated a strong 7-3 win over Technique.
Despite the cold, wet and rainy conditions the team went out full of energy and enthusiasm, playing some excellent team hockey from start to finish.
Corangamite worked hard across the field, creating plenty of scoring opportunities while showing great teamwork and determination in defence.

The club has two under 12 teams, Lakers and Craters.

Last Saturday night was a tough battle for the under 18 squad.
The team lost to Technique 5-1 but the scoreline did not reflect the even game played in the midfield.
There were many desperate clearances from Corangamite’s defence along with some great play leading up to the goal.
The encouragement award went to the team’s newest player, Jamieson, who is learning new positions, followed direction from coaches and senior players, and challenged herself to apply new skills.
Special mention also to Quinn for his superb goal keeping and well done to Noah for some great defence work in the final two quarters.
Thank you to Fiona and Sharna for stepping up and coaching, and to Sharyn for volunteering to umpire.
