Students bring a new era of leadership

SCHOOLS across the region have ushered in a new era of young leaders with school leaders being selected for the year.

SCHOOLS across the region have ushered in a new era of young leaders with school leaders being selected for the year.

St Thomas’ Primary School welcomed Hope Kenna, Lenny Scanlon, Tom Scanlon and Lucia Clarke as its school leaders.

Panmure Primary School has all bases covered with Lily Shand and Eliza Goodall serving as school captains.

Tillie Gammon and Oliver Goodall will serve as environmental and vice environment captains, respectively.

Melody Grinton was named music captain with Maggie Shand as vice music captain.

Nazrah Bushell and Harry Wiffrie will be the joint sports captains.

Noorat Primary School leaders Sienna Hamilton and Taylor Hansen are making a positive impact on their tight-knit school community, according to principal Ilona Watkins.

“Both students bring a great enthusiasm and passion for supporting our students and continuing to make our school a better place,” she said.

“They are full of ideas and will do a fabulous job representing Noorat Primary School.”

Junior campus captains Molly and Jock (surnames withheld due to school policy) added their names to the ranks of young leaders at Mercy Regional College.

Terang College welcomed Nicholas Castersen and Ingrid Cavarsan as college captains and Emma Hill and Lucy Eldridge as middle years captains.

Meanwhile, Wyatt Mcintosh and Trai Marcos hit the ground running as some of the youngest student leaders as junior school captains for Hampden Specialist School.
