The visit, held last Tuesday, was part of the team’s Cats Community Camp program, where they visit schools across the district to encourage the next generation of footballers.

Junior campus assistant principal Jacinta Tolland said seven players paid a visit to the school.

“Tom Stewart, Tom Atkins, Jack Bowes, Ollie Henry, James Worpel, Caitlin Tipping, and Piper Dunlop were met with great excitement at the junior campus,” she said.

“Their visit created a real buzz across the school as all Prep-Year Six students listened eagerly to their stories, advice and experiences as elite athletes.

“As part of the visit, three students from each class had the opportunity to prepare and ask a question to the players, which they delivered with confidence and enthusiasm.

“The players responded with warmth and insight, giving students a fascinating glimpse into life as professional footballers.

“Keen Cats supporters also enjoyed having their Geelong memorabilia signed, creating a treasured keepsake of this very special day at Camperdown College.”
