Students reunite after 50 years
LAUGHTER, smiles and a few tears were shed when Terang High School students reminisced and reconnected after 50 years apart.

Students who attended Terang High School between 1975 and 1981 joined together this month for a reunion which had been led by former student Gordon Fraser.
The reunion was held over two days and included a guided tour though the new facilities at Terang College, an inter-school sports day, the formal reunion at the Terang Civic Hall and a barbecue and bowls event the following day.
“It went really well,” Mr Fraser said.
“We had a school tour on the morning with 42 attendees, another in the afternoon with 16, a dinner function with 77 attendees and 22 people at the barefoot bowls and barbecue.
“We had people attending from as far away as Texas, USA, and far north Queensland.
“Unfortunately, we had around ten people who had been booked in to come but were unable to do so due to the cyclone Alfred impacting Queensland and New South Wales - and we also had two people coming over from Western Australia but they broke down on the Nullarbor Plain.”
Mr Gordon said smiles and laughter were abundant as attendees reconnected, shared their cherished memories and learned more about where life had taken one another.
“It was a wonderful night. Everybody had an absolute hoot,” he said.
“Especially me – I just needed to catch up with some of my old friends.
“What it provided was not only the opportunity to revisit our school days and remember what it was like, but to also see how we all developed as adults.
“Everyone was so diverse, from our careers to our paths in life.”
