Students show their team spirit

STUDENTS from across the region celebrated football on the final day of school for term three.

STUDENTS from across the region celebrated football on the final day of school for term three.

The tradition of wearing footy colours on the final day of school of term three was again a success as students donned the colours of their favourite teams.

Classrooms were a sea of colour as students took advantage of the celebration, with a strong representation teams from across codes.

Geelong Cats and Richmond Tigers were well supported while finals contenders Collingwood Magpies and Brisbane Lions also boasted a strong cohort of student fans.

Melbourne Storm and a number of NBA teams also had their share of supporters, while students rallied around local teams including Terang-Mortlake Bloods, Woorndoo-Mortlake Tigers and Terang Tornados.

School principals including St Colman’s Primary School’s Janet Cain and St Thomas’ Primary School’s Matthew Uzkuraitis praised students for getting in to the spirit of finals football, donning colours of their own.

St Colman’s Primary School students also enjoyed an AFL clinic with an AFL representative visiting the school to put students through their paces in a variety of drills.
