Subdivision plans for Timboon

CORANGAMITE Shire will soon decide on two planning permits in Timboon which could provide more housing options in the township.

The first planning application is for a four lot subdivision at 7 Hospital Road.

According the application documents, the land currently has a single dwelling on it which would be demolished if the application was approved.

Two of the lots would be 575.3 square metres and two would be 403.9 square metres.

“The proposed subdivision is in line with the municipal planning strategy and will provide more residential land in an infill location,” the planning permit application states.

“This location can be serviced properly and supports the compact township form that is in line with the council’s land use vision.”

Council will not decide on the application before October 25.

The second application under consideration is for the use and development of land at 62 Curdievale Road.

“The two proposed dwellings are one and two bedrooms which are intended to be used for short stay accommodation,” the application states.

“The proposed dwellings are prefabricated transportable units that is wholly manufactured elsewhere and delivered to site fully constructed.”

The subject land is vacant and consists of two mature trees.

Council will not decide on the application before October 31.
