TAB changes trackside bets
TAB has announced new changes to trackside betting, in a move the company says is a “transformative” act to meet the needs of customers.
Tabcorp has announced the launch of a new app and products in a bid to innovate how punters bet.
As part of the evolution, there will be a reduction in the number of cash terminals at Victorian race tracks – with Tabcorp citing the majority of punters showing a preference for digital betting.
“This is all part of creating the ultimate racing and sports entertainment experience, whether it be at home, in our 4000 retail outlets nationwide or at the track,” the company said in a statement.
“There’s never been more ways to place a bet with TAB.
“As the partner of industry, TAB will continue to offer full cash services at race meetings that are the most important to the Victorian Racing Industry.
“This includes metropolitan meetings and feature race days on the provincial and country circuit.”
Tabcorp said the changes were in line with evolving betting patterns and were driven by customer feedback.
“TAB will continue to provide Victoria with the complete wagering ecosystem across Fixed odds, the Tote and Sky Racing - whether it’s on the TAB App, in venue, at the track or online,” the statement read.
“Full cash betting terminal services will continue to be provided at Victoria’s biggest race meetings.”
