Teacher’s birthday surprise
THE children at Baranbali Kindergarten helped to arrange a special surprise for a beloved teacher this week.

Baranbali teacher Kim Helmore celebrated her 60th birthday on Tuesday this week, surrounded by the children who had diligently worked to pick out presents based on her favourite things, her favourite colours and all of their favourite things about her
Mrs Helmore is known affectionately at Baranbali as Kim, Kimmy, Kimber and – if the children are feeling cheeky – Dim Sim.
She said there was no place she’d rather celebrate such a special milestone.
“It’s made my day to celebrate my birthday with all these little ones,” Mrs Helmore said.
“I could have had the option of having the day off, but I wanted to come in and celebrate with everybody because these little ones are so special within my life.”
