Tech students star on the track
COBDEN Technical School students have shown great speed, talent and enthusiasm both on and off the athletics track.

There was plenty of colour and participation at the school’s annual sports day at the Camperdown Little Athletics track on Tuesday, March 3.
With strong support from parents and friends, and great weather conditions, the day was an ideal one with lots of records broken and another win by Glenfyne Gold (its sixth consecutive victory).
Congratulations to all age group champions for 2026:
Under 13 – Taja DH and Jett D.
Under 14 – Olivia B and Ryan B.
Under 15 – Stephanie S and Harry R.
Under 16 – Akeisha B and Rhys S.
Under 17 – Olivia B and Riley B.
Under 18-20 – Tabitha P and Zac S.

Glenfyne Gold topped the house ladder at the end of the day on 667.25 points, followed by Shenfield Blue 503.75 and Tandarook Red 479.
Congratulations to Riley B on breaking two school records, in the under 17 boys 800m and 1500m.
Thankyou to all staff, parents and students who facilitated the events, helped with the barbecue and ran score sheets.
Fifty students qualified to attend the HSSSD interschool athletics, which were held at Camperdown on Tuesday, March 17.
This also included students from Mercy Regional College, Camperdown College, Timboon P12 and Terang College.
Felix N won the under 17 boys age champion award while Riley B finished second in the under 17 boys championship.
Ryan B finished second in the under 14 boys age championship.
Eight students from Cobden Technical School have now qualified to compete at the Greater Western Region athletics competition in Ballarat in October.
