Terang athletics begins
THE 2023 season got underway for the Terang Athletic Club last week.
THE 2023 season got underway for the Terang Athletic Club last week.
Wednesday night saw an enthusiastic crew of eight athletes put through their paces at the Terang Recreation Reserve for the first training night, under the watchful eye of Ken Plummer and Laurie Heffernan.
Focus for the first week was on learning correct warm up techniques and body movement.
A 400-metre warm-up lap, along with some short sprints and two, 200 metre sprints finished off the drills.
To end the session all athletes completed cool down activities.
The Terang Athletic Club wish to thank Jake for line marking the track.
New athletes are always welcome, and the club caters for all ages from year three to masters.
