Terang Probus Notes September
TERANG and District Probus Club members were once again entertained by a local guest speaker.

TERANG and District Probus Club members were once again entertained by a local guest speaker.
Jill Cole regaled members with her explanation of the martial art of karate.
Her introduction to the sport came about when her son Toby took up karate in 2010.
Since then, she has progressed to a black belt level and won numerous state and national titles.
The sport has seen Jill and Toby travel internationally to where Funakoshi karate is a favoured sport.
Jill also demonstrated simple methods of defence to deal with any potential aggressor.
The five-minute speaker was new member Anne Gready, who spoke of the interest generated in the north-western Victorian town of Murtoa when the famous ‘Stick Shed” was developed as a tourist attraction.
In combination with the painted silos throughout the district the town has seen an increase in tourism, increase in house prices and lifted the spirits of the townspeople.
The Stick Shed covers approximately four acres and now opens from 9am to 2pm, seven days a week.
