Terang’s lone butchery to hit the market
TERANG’S lone butchery is hitting the market as Robbo’s Country Cuts owner Aaron Robertson eyes the next chapter of life.

Mr Robertson announced last week he would look to sell his beloved business after four years.
He said he was looking forward to what life brings next after making the transition from apprentice to small business owner.
“I’ve been here for around eight years now, four with the apprenticeship and four as owner,” Mr Robertson said.
“I’m keen to change it up and see what is out there in the next chapter of life.
“I’ll hang around for the rest of the year because the lease doesn’t run out until May next year, but hopefully we can get things sold up and then see what next year brings.”
Mr Robertson said he had enjoyed the challenge of taking over the business, which had been A Cut Above, in 2022.
Over the years he successfully guided the business to be a mainstay of Terang thanks to the high-quality product, fair prices and excellent customer service.
“It’s not something I ever thought I would do so I’m forever grateful to have the opportunity to do it, especially here,” he said.
“It’s been good.
“We’ve got a great relationship with the staff members and even the community getting around it has been good.
“Definitely an experience.”
Mr Robertson said he hoped someone would be willing to take over the business, believing it was important for the town’s lone butchery to continue to have a presence in the heart of town.
“I wanted to put it up for sale because I knew the lease was coming up,” he said.
“The intention was always to be here for about five years before I was going to go.
“I don’t want to sign another lease for a year or so, so I made the call to sell because I don’t want to just close the doors – the town relies on the shop.
“I’d rather someone come in and keep it running as normal.”
