WITH two rounds left before the finals of Terang table tennis, Murphy’s Law has jumped into the four for the first time this season.

There is now a bottle neck between teams two to five where any side can miss out on finals action.

Mark’s Battlers is the only side to have locked in a finals berth.

The competition also welcomed back Ron Cook, who will fill in for the remainder of the season in TTMI2.

Ron’s presence wasn’t enough to help his team win, but he did provide competitiveness and remove some of the rust from his game.

Murphy’s Law won 11-0 and, in the process, jumped from 5th to 3rd.

Mark’s Battlers had Callum McSween fill in for Mark and assisted the team to defeat Tony’s Terriers winning 8-3.

Vesha Chapagai won two singles in his team’s victory.

The best rubber was between Vesha and Tony Young with the later winning a very close match 11-13, 11-8, 13-11 and 11-9.

Pat’s Players had a 9-2 win over TTMI1.

Pat Nicholson won his three singles and Akash K.C and Ganga Aryal won two of their singles.

Michael Pearson filled in for TTMI1 and won two of his three singles.

The best rubber was between Michael and Akash with Michael winning 11-7, 11-5, 11-13 and 15-13.

Ladder after round 12: Mark’s Battlers 36, Pat’s Players 28, Murphy’s Law 24, Tony’s Terriers 24, Callum’s Road 24, TTMI1 8, TTMI2 0.
