The town to visit this year
PORT Campbell has been announced as one of the top 10 travel destinations in Wotif’s 2025 Aussie Town of the Year Awards.
Placing sixth, Port Campbell has been acknowledged by travel company Wotif as one of the most popular Australian domestic getaway locations.
Now in its eighth year, the Wotif Aussie Town of the Year Awards recognises trending Aussie destinations for the year ahead and is based on the Wotif data index which looks at accommodation affordability, quality, and traveller satisfaction.
The awards come as over a quarter (28 per cent) of Australians are reported as wanting to visit new destinations in Australia this year.
Additionally, according to the report, short breaks will remain key for many Aussies, with three-to-five days being the sweet spot for domestic travel in the year ahead.
A second Victorian town, Beechworth, also made the list, coming in at fifth place.
New South Wales’ Port Stephens took the top spot, with Cairns in Queensland taking second and Mandurah in Western Australia taking third.
