LISMORE Derrinallum’s senior footballers are still hunting for their third win of the season.

With just six rounds of the home and away season remaining, the Demons currently sit ninth on the Mininera League ladder.

Taking on the third-placed Woorndoo Mortlake at Lismore last weekend, the Demons were kept scoreless in the first quarter and managed just one goal two in the second in what was a low-scoring game in windy conditions.

The second half saw the Demons add five majors to the scoreboard, falling just nine points short of victory, 4.5.29 to 4.14.38.

Josh Anderson, Henry Walsh, Josh Sanders, Hayden Brett, Charlie Brett and Lachie Constable were among the best for the Demons.

Goals went to Constable, Sanders, Andrew Parkinson and Steven Ryan.

Lismore Derrinallum’s reserves had a tough day against the top side, going down by 36 points, 3.5.23 to 9.5.59.

Riley Browne, Sebastian Smith, Ryan Jeffrey (two goals), James Sanders-Brown and Hunter Thompson were named best for the Demons.

Lismore Derrinallum’s A grade netball side now sits fourth on the Mininera ladder following last Saturday’s 28-56 goal loss to Woorndoo Mortlake.

The Demons’ B grade side was defeated 21-34 while C grade lost 14-25.

18 and under – Lismore Derrinallum lost to Woorndoo Mortlake 16-34.

15 and under – Lismore Derrinallum lost to Woorndoo Mortlake 15-32.

13 and under – Lismore Derrinallum lost to Woorndoo Mortlake 3-22.
