Thousands raised at inaugural fundraiser
MORE than $2000 was raised to support struggling families when an inaugural fundraiser attracted 80 players to the Terang Golf Course on the weekend.

The Rotary Club of Terang hosted its inaugural Fundraising Golf Tournament on Sunday, raising funds for south west not-for-profit Foodbank.
Rotary Club of Terang president Wayne Reicha said club members were “delighted” with the success of the day.
“It was a wonderful day,” he said.
“Everyone enjoyed themselves and liked the format.”
Mr Reicha said creating the opportunity to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause was what rotary was all about.
“We always look forward to being able to help people; it’s part of our role,” he said.
“We’re always looking to help people wherever we can – be that struggling families, youth or hospitals, in any way we can, we’re there to help the community.”
Mr Reicha said the success of the inaugural event left no doubt the Fundraising Golf Tournament would return next year.
“We’re certainly looking forward to returning next year,” he said.
“A lot of the players who came along said they were already looking forward to next year, so it’s certainly going to be back.”
Mr Reicha thanked all those who attended on the day who made such a large donation possible.
“I hope they all enjoyed themselves,” he said.
“Their contribution will make a lot of difference to a lot of families this year.
“It doesn’t matter how small or big, everything raised makes such a big difference to other people’s lives.”
