In a big day for the club, Timboon won every game on offer in both football and netball.

“We were stoked, that’s our best win this year,” a pleased Demons coach Andrew Hargreaves said.

“We put together a complete four quarters of how we have been wanting to play.”

Hargreaves was most impressed by the performance of his midfielders.

“Ben Newey was the standout, but they were all dominant, our ball movement was impressive,” he said.

“Everything we’ve been working on as a newish group is starting to click.”

It wasn’t just the midfielders who had the attention of the Timboon mentor.

“It was great to have our two key forwards (Josh Worboys with six goals and Martin Angus with four) kick 10 between them; they really stood up.” Hargreaves said.

“In addition, our defenders just kept to their usual high standard.”

Timboon take on Kolora Noorat at Noorat this week.

“It’s always a big game, they are going well too, and this should be another good test,” Hargreaves said.

Timboon dominated the reserves, winning 11.9.75 to 0.4.4.

Taj Quarrell, Bailey Delaney and Jack Gaut were best for the Demons.

With Panmure not fielding under 18 or under 15 teams this season, the only junior football match was the under 13s.

Eight goals to Jed Watson led Timboon to a 15.7.97 to 1.0.6 victory, with Dane Nicholls and Jedda Loughnan named alongside Watson as the junior Demons best.

In the A grade netball, Timboon returned to the winners list with a 60-38 win.

“Our first quarter was slow but I couldn’t fault our last three quarters; the strategies we have worked on are starting to work,” Demons coach Danica Clough said.

Laura Rosolin top scored for the Demons with 44 goals.

“Laura just didn't miss, her conversion was incredible,” Clough said.

Simone McLaren was named best for Timboon, Clough noting the Demon centre “really stepped up.”

“I couldn’t fault her game, she was spot on with her passes into the ring,” she said.

Timboon had a big win in the A reserve netball, 54-20.

Macy Gale scored 33 goals for the winners, with Mereanna Van Ginkel also scoring 15.

Lexci Nicholas and Zalia Hanegraaf were best for Timboon.

Twenty-three goals to Nicole Burvill in a best on court performance led the Timboon B grade netballers to a 48-15 win.
