Three-person ambrose at Timboon
THE Brandt Terang three-person ambrose stroke (nett) event at Timboon Golf Club was well contested last Saturday.
Forty-four players enjoyed the day’s competition.
The winners were Hamish Huffadine, Steve Crees and Luke Smith (handicap 2.16) 59 nett 56.84.
Second place went to Neil Gowland, Charles Kenn and Aidan Mansbridge (handicap 11.36) 70 nett 58.67.
In third place was Peter Cashmore, Darren Smith, Chris Huffadine (and James Skeiwes, handicap 7) 66 nett 59.
Nearest the pins: 5th Peter Cashmore, 7th Hamish Huffadine, 10th Todd Brant and 14th Charles Kenny.
Thursday’s 12-hole chicken day was won by Darryle Beames from David Gamble.
Nearest the pin was Darryle Beames.
Next Saturday will be stableford guest day.
Heather Finlayson took out the stableford competition at Timboon last Wednesday.
She finished on 37 points, ahead of runner-up Dawn Wallace (36) on 35.
Balls down the line went to Lynne Newton (15) 33 points.
Nearest the pin (second shot on the 14th) went to Heather Finlayson while Dawn Wallace was nearest on the 13th.
