Tigers at home
WOORNDOO Cricket Club kick off its Colac-South West premier campaign on Saturday when it hosts Irrewarra at Woorndoo.
A strong pre-season and the addition of some handy recruits has the Tigers ready to show improvement on the field.
“Our pre-season has been really good, strong numbers at training, we had a practice game a couple of weeks ago, there were a lot of positive signs on that day,” Woorndoo president Damien Clifford said.
A major plus for Woorndoo has been the addition of an indoor net at the Woorndoo Recreation Reserve.
English import Euan Irving, a left arm spin bowler, and former Nirranda all-rounder Jarryd Walsh will add to the Tigers line-up.
Walsh is also serving as club assistant coach and division one vice-captain.
