In windy conditions at Lismore on Saturday, both sides struggled to make a big impact on the scoreboard.
The Tigers went into the half-time break with a nine-point lead and carried that through to the final siren, kicking just 4.14.38 for the game while the Demons finished at 4.5.29.
Liam Cameron, Richard McCormick, William Paulin, Damien Pemberton, Jesse Johnson and Bryce Meekes were best for the Tigers while goals were shared between Jesse Horan, Archie Howard,Jack Osborne and Will Paulin.
Woorndoo Mortlake’s reserves sit on top of the ladder, just percentage above Ararat and two games clear of the Demons in third.
Round 10 saw the Tigers enjoy a 36-point win over the Demons, 9.5.59 to 3.5.23.
Charlie Carmody, Mac Shaw, Geordie MacDonald, Tyne Anderson and Justin Snow were among the best for the Tigers.
Anderson had a great day in front of goals, kicking five for the Tigers, while Wayne Loader added three and Justin Snow one.
Last weekend proved a successful one on the netball court for the Tigers, winning all games played.
A grade – Woorndoo Mortlake defeated Lismore Derrinallum 56-28.
B grade – Woorndoo Mortlake defeated Lismore Derrinallum 34-21.
C grade – Woorndoo Mortlake defeated Lismore Derrinallum 25-14.
18 and under – Woorndoo Mortlake defeated Lismore Derrinallum 34-16.
15 and under – Woorndoo Mortlake defeated Lismore Derrinallum 32-15.
13 and under – Woorndoo Mortlake defeated Lismore Derrinallum 22-3.
Round 11, to be played on Saturday July 8, will see Woorndoo Mortlake travel to Alexandra Oval to take on Ararat.
