Tigers struggle at home
IT was another tough day for Simpson’s senior footballers on Saturday, going down 13.4.82 to 4.5.29 to Lorne at the Simpson Recreation Reserve.

Lorne started well, kicking six goals to one in the first quarter against the injury-depleted Tigers.
Apart from an even third quarter, where neither team kicked a goal, Lorne had complete control of the game.
Brenton De Jong, Zac Anderson and Tanner Fratantaro were Simpson’s best, with Tom Leishman the only multiple goal kicker with two.
This week the Tigers will host Apollo Bay at Simpson.
In the reserves, Lorne scored a massive 24.13.157 to 1.1.7 win.
Best for the Tigers were Oscar Perrett, David Weel and Jason Kordupel, with captain Harry Fleming kicking the lone goal.
Lorne scored a 27.14.176 to 1.1.7 win in the under 18s.
Nate Sambell, Sam O’Connor and Jed Spokes were best for the Tigers, with Spokes kicking the goal.
In the under 15s, Lorne had a 7.3.45 to 3.5.23 win.
Jed Spokes, Lucas Woolstencroft and Samuel Blain were the best for the under 15 Tigers, with Spokes kicking two goals.
Simpson had its first win in the under 12s, 7.10.52 to 3.3.21.
Jack Vogels kicked four goals and Kaiden Teal three for the junior Tigers.
The A grade netball match was tight throughout, with Lorne getting the win 52-43.
Milah Crole, Eliza Duynhoven and Chloe Woods were best for the A grade Tigers.
Eliza Duynhoven scored 19 goals, Jessie Harding scored 14 and coach Emily Duynhoven scored 10.
The B grade netball saw a 31 all draw.
Melissa Drayton, Claudia Richardson and Carol Arndell were best for Simpson, Brianna Gass scoring 16 goals with Drayton scoring 11.
The C grade netball saw a strong 63-22 win to Simpson.
Kayla Hallyburton, Rachael Duynhoven and Hayley Weel were named best for the C grade Tigers, with Hallyburton shooting 31 goals and Duynhoven 32.
The D grade match went Lorne’s way, 29-27.
Leesa Seabrook, Shayla Daniels and Kellie Meade were best for Simpson, with captain Sharni Ward scoring 18 goals.
Simpson also won the 17 and under netball 28-19.
Gabby Montano, Olivia Rhode and Amelia Daniels were the Tigers best, with Esha Crole scoring 16 goals.
Lorne had a win in the 15 and under game, 42-39.
Tara Robertson, Tyra Sambell and Milah Crole were best for the Tigers, with Kustom Robertson scoring 24 goals.
Lorne was too good in the 13 and under netball, registering a 49-17 win.
Nyha Ford, Ayla Crole and Mia Arndell were best for the under 13 Tigers, Arndell scoring 11 goals.
