Tim’s journey draws crowd
THE Terang community lined the streets to watch runner Tim Franklin passed through town as part of his endeavour to run the world.
The Brisbane-based runner was in the region over the weekend as part of his ‘Tim Runs the World’ endeavour.
His adventure has taken him from his home town though New Zealand, the United States, South America, Europe, Asia and back home to Australia since beginning in December 2022.
The 26,232-kilometre journey is coming to a close as Mr Franklin is now on the home stretch as he makes his way back to Brisbane, but it did not come before he pounded the pavement through Terang.
Members of the community lined the streets to wave, offer their congratulations and even join him for a brief jog.
Mr Franklin has paired with three charity partners as part of the journey, with a percentage of the money he raises going to the Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation, Lung Foundation Australia and Wings for Life.
