Timboon Action activities
TIMBOON Action are getting ready for their last Makers and Farmers Market for the year, as well as their annual Anzac Day ceremony.
“Timboon Action committee will be holding their last Makers and Farmers Market for this season on Easter Saturday, April 4 from 10am to 2pm,” Timboon Action secretary Leeanne Whitehead said.
“A variety of stalls will be in attendance including food vendors.
“Face painting, plaster making and sand art will all be available free to the children and there will be a scavenger hunt for families to enjoy – and the Easter bunny may hop by for a visit.
“All down in the Powers Creek precinct on the lovely grassed area at the end of the shops and the Action raffle will be a hit for the chocolate consumers.
“In the Action tent the “Timboon Tales celebrating 150 years” book will be on sale, compiled by 2025 Year Nine and Ten Timboon P-12 students.”
The next item on the agenda for Timboon Action is the Anzac Day ceremony, which Mrs Whitehead said would be held at the Timboon Recreation Reserve.
“We will have a 7.15am start for forming up ready for the march to commence at 7.30am,” she said.
“A commemorative service will start at 7.50am, followed by wreath laying.
“The gathering will be invited to partake in a breakfast cooked by Jimmy Davis from The Fat Cow, sponsored by Timboon Opportunity Shop.
“This is an all-inclusive community event – there will be free entry to the ground and everyone is invited.
“The junior football and netball will commence after the service.”
