Timboon gets festive
TIMBOON is looking decidedly more festive thanks to Timboon Action members.
Hand-painted banners and wooden Christmas trees have been installed in Timboon’s shopping precinct in the lead up to Christmas.
Timboon Action’s Corry Kerr said two years ago, students from Timboon P-12 School created the festive Christmas banners for Timboon.
“These hand painted banners were part of a Timboon Action initiative to spread Christmas cheer and showcase the artistic talents of local students,” she said.
“The wooden Christmas trees displayed in the shopping precinct were made by the Timboon Men’s Shed and painted by Kelly Ord from KK Party Hire.
“This collaborative effect adds a festive touch to the shoppers, visitors to the town and also the community Christmas, and to Santa in the Street on December 20.”
