LOCAL artist Harley Manifold is opening the Milk Shed Studio to the public this weekend.

The old Wiridgil milk shed has been converted into a painting studio for his art practice.

There is an Open Studio exhibition this Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm to celebrate the completion of the milk shed.

Mr Manifold said it was over two years of work to “make a dream come true”.

He long with and his mother Marion – who is also an artist – have been working long hours, while also being helped by Shane Cronin who grew up on the farm.

Mr Cronin’s father Kevin was Wiridgil’s right hand man until his retirement.

There will be painting, prints and sculptures by multiple award-winning artists, many of whom have exhibited in prestigious Australian art prizes including the Archibald, Darling, Moran, Wynne, and Sulman Prizes.

The artists are Lucy McEachern, Kathryn Ryan, Sarah Gabriel, Matthew Clarke, Graeme Altmann, Nick Dridan, Zoe Young, Robbie Williams, Natasha Berm, Sheridan Buscombe, Jimmi Buscombe,

Helen Bunyon, Des Bunyon, Irene Crusca, Sarah Duyshart, Emily Persson, Jasmine Mansbridge, Anne Middleton, Georgina Sambell, Glenn Morgan, Caroline Healey, Julie Keating, Tim Freeman, Emma Stenhouse, Marion Manifold and Harley Manifold.

Art will also be exhibited in the cottage adjoining the milk shed at 580 Wiridgil Road, with a flag marking the exhibition.

The homestead is not open to the public
